Four full-time staff physicians and two Nurse Practitioners are dedicated solely to the well-being of Shell Point residents, while pharmacists do on-site consulting and delivery. The nursing staff averages more than eight years of experience.

The facility itself has many unique features. A waterfront dining room is situated at a tidal lagoon frequented by manatees and dolphins. A memory garden allows all residents the independence of walking outdoors, while providing security and safety.

No one likes to think about needing skilled nursing care, yet statistics show that seven out of ten couples will find at least one spouse needing long-term nursing care. At Shell Point, skilled nursing care is included in the lifecare contract.
