Privacy Policy
Effective October 1, 2026. Short version: we collect what you give us, use it to do what you asked, and do not sell it.
Who we are
Powers Advertising, Knoxville, Tennessee. This policy covers powersadvertising.com and app.powersadvertising.com.
What we collect
- When you build or order a website. Your name, email address, business name, phone number, and the details about your business that you give us so the site can be written. If you sign in, we keep your account and the changes you ask for.
- When you pay. Payments are handled by Stripe on its own checkout page. We do not see or store your card number. We keep a record of what you bought and when.
- When you ask for a workbook. Your first name and email address, which workbooks you asked for, and when they were sent.
- When you use the contact form. Whatever you type into it.
- When you visit. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and records the pages viewed, how you arrived, your approximate location, and your device and browser type. Our server keeps standard logs.
What we use it for
- To build, host and change your website, and to bill you for it.
- To send what you asked for, such as a workbook or a reply to your message.
- To send an occasional note to people on the workbook list. Every one of those emails has an unsubscribe link, and it works.
- To see which pages people read so we can improve the site.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your information. We do not run advertising or remarketing from the analytics data.
Who else handles it
Companies that run parts of the service for us: Stripe for payments, Amazon Web Services for hosting, Twilio for phone numbers and calls, OpenAI for transcribing calls and running the AI receptionist, our email delivery providers, and Google for analytics. They handle your information only to provide that service.
Email we send to businesses
We sometimes email businesses about our services. Each of those emails says who we are, says it is an advertisement, gives our mailing address, and tells you how to stop further email. If you ask us to stop, you will not hear from us again.
Calls to a business that uses Powers HQ
If you call a business that uses a Powers HQ phone line and nobody answers, an AI receptionist may answer for them. It tells you at the start of the call that it is an AI and that the call may be recorded. We record the call, write it out, and pass your number, your message and the recording to that business so they can call you back. We keep call recordings for up to 12 months and then delete them. The written message stays in that business's lead list until they delete it or close their account. We do not sell them, use them for advertising, or call or text you ourselves. To have a recording deleted, contact the business you called, or us at the address below.
Text message alerts
Powers HQ customers can choose to get a text for each new lead (see text alert terms). We use the mobile number you give us only to send those alerts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and we do not sell, rent or share text messaging opt-in data or consent with anyone. Our phone provider delivers the messages for us and may not use them for anything else. Reply STOP to any text to stop them, or HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from any email with the link at the bottom of it.
- Block analytics cookies in your browser, or install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.
- Ask us to show you, correct or delete what we hold about you. Use the contact form or call (865) 412-4408.
- If you cancel a website plan, you can take your site files with you.
Powers HQ Helper (Chrome extension)
The Powers HQ Helper extension only runs on facebook.com and powersadvertising.com. It reads the Facebook group pages you open with it (group names, links, member counts, rules and join questions) and sends them to your Powers HQ account so we can suggest groups and answers. It types the posts and answers you approved in Powers HQ into Facebook; you click Join and Post yourself.
On your computer it saves the connect code that links it to your Powers HQ account, plus a temporary note of the task it is working on that is cleared when the browser closes. It does not read your messages, friends list, browsing history or any other site, does not track you, shows no ads, and we do not sell or share what it collects. Remove the extension at any time to stop it; to delete the group data it saved, use the data deletion page or email us.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version and its date will be on this page.
